For adults needing support for healthy weight management, they can access the following free NHS support to manage their weight via the PTHB local weight management services these include:

Level 2 Support

A multicomponent service provided by the Dietetic Team. Our specially trained Dietetic Assistant Practitioners can direct you to the relevant services and support including dietary advice, developing cooking skills and/or physical activity.

Level 3 Support

This service holistically addresses your individual needs. The programme aims to help you to lose at least 5-10% of your weight and to achieve improved health outcomes. It involves a mix of group and individual sessions, designed to support you to make sustainable changes that will improve your health, wellbeing, and quality of life.

This service is for: 

  •  People 18 or over
  • Residing in Powys or under a Powys GP
  • With a BMI of 40 kg/m2 or above or a BMI of 35 or above with 2 or more related health conditions

You must be referred to this service by your GP.
