Your weight may be something that hasn’t been a concern until recent times because your weight was stable, or you lost any weight gained without needing to do much about it. More recently, things in your life have changed and this has meant your weight has crept up.

For you, there may have been changes to your life more recently, for example, a change in your job, relationships, family, or health condition. This means that your eating routine may have changed, or perhaps you are not as active as you once were.
You may have noticed your weight gradually creeping up. If you have always been a healthy weight, you may feel surprised or disappointed by these changes. You may have expected to go back to your usual weight without having to do anything about it, particularly if you are an active person.
You might not know where to begin, especially if you think diets are bland and not for you. You may know why you have gained weight and what you need to change but don’t yet have the confidence to do it.
